Hey everyone! YAY! Throwback Thursday is back and BETTER! I have been so excited for this post because this throwback really holds a special place in my heart. Now, sit back, relax and let me tell you about the time when I cantered for the first time. As a young girl I felt like I had accomplished the world, but I won’t spoil the story, so let’s get into it!
About 5 years ago, I cantered for the first time and let me tell you it was pretty AMAZING! I had just settled into a new barn that I was taking lessons at and I was working on completing the canter. Previously, I hadn’t cantered because I was too young and hadn’t learned enough yet to be prepared to efficiently (and smoothly haha) make my way into the canter. I had loved taking lessons as a young girl and I was so excited to be learning how to canter because I felt like I had come a long way in my riding. It is so inspiring and motivating to see your improvements and progress at work! At the stable I was riding at, I had ridden the same horse every lesson. He was a middle-aged quarter horse, Palomino.
